It was back in late September that Microsoft released a new Xbox mobile app for Android users, and following a brief testing period, that same app is also now available for Apple users on iOS.

The app introduces a ton of new and improved features, including streamlined notifications for parties, chats and new friends, party chat on the go, the ability to share screenshots and clips from your phone to social media and via messages, an option to download games before you buy them, and more.
But most interestingly, it also incorporates Remote Play, allowing you to stream your console to your iPhone or iPad and play your Xbox games portably. Microsoft has struggled so far to bring its Project xCloud service to iOS with Xbox Game Pass, but based on our experiences with Remote Play so far, this is definitely the next best thing.
