5. Go to Settings > Bluetooth. If your AirPods are connected, make sure that they are selected as your audio device. If they aren't connected, just go to the next step.
6. Close the lid, wait 15 seconds, then open the lid. Press and hold the setup button on the case for up to 10 seconds. The status light should flash white, which means that your AirPods are ready to connect.
   
7. Hold the case, with your AirPods inside and the lid open, next to your iOS device.
8. Follow the steps on your iOS device's screen.
9. Test your AirPods. If you still can't connect, reset your AirPods.

If you can't connect to your Mac

If you're using AirPods (2nd generation), make sure that your Mac has macOS 10.14.4 or later. If you're using AirPods (1st generation), make sure that your Mac is using macOS Sierra or later.

Choose Apple menu  > System Preferences, then click Bluetooth. If your Airpods appear in the list of devices^* but they don't connect, remove your AirPods from the list:

1. Select your AirPods in the list of devices.
2. Click the X to the right of your AirPods.

Add your AirPods to the device list in Bluetooth preferences again:

1. Place both AirPods in the charging case.
2. Open the lid of your charging case near your Mac.
3. In the device list, select your Airpods and click Connect.

Test your AirPods. If you still can't connect, reset your AirPods.

* If your AirPods don't appear in Bluetooth preferences, set up your AirPods with your Mac.

You rely on the Weather app to get real-time updates regarding temperature and accurate forecasts. Unfortunately, something goes wrong and your Apple Watch is no longer updating the weather app. Don’t let the confusion go on any further and fix the weather app to get into action by trying out some of the tried and tested solutions. Enough talks, let’s jump over to troubleshoot the issue!

Tips to Fix Apple Watch Not Updating Weather Issue

Ensure that the Weather app has access to Cellular Data (if you are using it on your iOS device.)

If you are using cellular on your iPhone, make sure the Weather app has access to your data. In case it’s already using the data, disallow it and then restart both your watch and smartphone. Then, allow the app to use the data.

Step #1. Open the Settings app on your paired iPhone.

Step #2. Now, tap on Mobile/Cellular Data.

Step #3. Scroll down and Turn off the switch next to Weather.

Next, restart both your iOS device and Apple Watch:

On iPhone X, you need to press and hold both, side button and volume up button. Then, slide to power off.

On your iPhone 8/8 Plus or earlier iPhones, press and hold the side button. Then, slide to power off.

Wait for some time and then press and hold the side button again to turn on your iPhone.

To restart your smartwatch, press and hold the side button. Then, you need to drag the slider to turn off the watch.

After a few seconds, press and hold the side button again until the Apple logo shows up.

Step #4. Next up, go back to Settings → Mobile Data → and then turn on the switch next to the Weather app.

Now, check out the weather app it would be alive and kick.

Ensure That You Have Allowed Weather App to Access your Location

The app needs to have access to your location to show localized weather info. So, make sure you are on the right line.

Step #1. Open Settings on your paired iPhone → Tap on Privacy.

Step#2. Tap Location Services → Tap on Weather App.

Step #3. Now, you have three options:

• Never
• While using the App
• Always

I would recommend you to select Always so that the app has unrestricted access to your location.

The problem should be gone now. If it’s the case, wonderful! But if the issue still persists, move to the next solution.

Update OS on Both, Your Apple Watch and iPhone

Are your iPhone and Apple Watch updated to the latest version? If no, it’s worth upgrading to the newest OS. I suspect the outdated version of the OS might be spoiling your party.

Update iOS on Your iPhone

Be sure your smartphone has around 50% battery life and is connected to Wi-Fi.

Step #1. Launch Settings on your iOS device.

Step #2. Now, tap on General → Tap on Software Update.

Step #3. If there is an update waiting for you, download and install it as usual.

Update watchOS on your Apple Watch

Similarly, ensure that your iOS device is connected to Wi-Fi. Besides, the watch must have at least 50% battery.

Step #1. Make sure to keep the watch on its charger until the update has been completed successfully.

Step #2. On your iPhone, launch the Watch app./install-app-on-mac.html.

Step #3. Ensure that My Watch tab is selected if it’s not already.

Step #4. Now, tap on General → Tap on Software Update. Next, download the update.

Enter your iPhone or Apple Watch passcode if prompted.
